Batu Caves half-day tour from Kuala Lumpur

Basically this tour is a taxi for a half day - there are some good explanations from the driver which is appreciated but the time schedule for the trip does not hold. For this reason we were only able to see the mosque from the outside. No entrance fees are needed for this trip so consider to do the tour on your own with a private driver - probably not more expensive.

Our tour did not get off to a good start. Despite having a confirmed private tour, the guide did not turn up. I tried contacting the team via the live chat system and could not get through. I tried emailing with no response. Eventually I had to make an international phone call ( likely expensive) to speak to someone and get the tour organised. Eventually a new guide was organised for more than 2 hours after the planned time. We wasted time going to the mosque when it was closed for prayers, meaning we had to return later. The guide did not realise we'd paid for lunch, dropping us to the market and then reimbursing us 25 ringgit each after we paid for our lunches. There was no real guiding- just driving. There was no time to visit China town as planned. The sites were interesting to see but I was very disappointed with the disorganisation. I do not think it was the driver's fault. He stayed 30 minutes longer than his scheduled time so we could re-visit the mosque. I am not sure I'd recommend the tour based on our experience.

This was not a tour trip but a one way drop off trip from KL to Cameron Highlands with Mr Sathesh. Although this was not a tour, Mr Sathesh was very polite courteous and informative . Would recommend.

The service is good! The driver is helpful and even recommended some of the main attractions and nice foods around the area for us to try.

Our final adventure with Sathia, and wow—what a way to wrap things up! After two epic days, we didn’t think she could top it, but of course, she did. First stop: The Military Museum at Port Dickson. Who knew history could be this cool? Sathia brought the past to life with her stories, making us feel like we were on a time-traveling mission. Tanks, tunnels, and tales of heroism—definitely not your average museum visit! After feeling all strategic and heroic, we hit the beach for some well-deserved playtime. Sun, sand, and laughter—what more could we ask for? (Besides maybe more time!) Then came the grand finale: a breathtaking sunset cruise. Picture this—calm waters, golden skies, and the perfect ocean breeze. Sathia, as always, made sure everything was smooth sailing (literally!), making it the most magical moment of the trip. And just when we thought it was over, we wrapped up with an incredible seafood dinner—because no great adventure ends on an empty stomach! Three days with Sathia, and we’ve laughed, learned, explored, and made memories that will last a lifetime. She’s not just a guide—she’s a storyteller, an adventure planner, and an all-around legend. Sathia, you’ve officially spoiled us for all future trips. Thank you for the best time ever!

Just took the full day private tour of Kuala Lumpur with visits to Batu Caves, Thean Hou Temple, National Monument, Istana Negara, National Mosque, Independence Square and Petronas Twin Towers and had an awesome day. Sathesh was the best guide you could imagine. Very knowledgeable, always smiling, top photographer and with lots of interesting facts about Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the heritage , religions and the culture. He always asked about our preferences and set up the tour to our likings. We made some amazing and everlasting memories and are still overwhelmed by all the impressions. We did the Historical Malacca Day Tour with guide Wilson and driver Jalil. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and felt it excellent value for money. Wilson did a fantastic job explaining the history of the area and gave us interesting insights into each spot we visited. He also did a good job keeping a very diverse group together and paced the walking so everyone could keep up. Malacca is a lovely little town and definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed the free time in the afternoon as everyone could spend time doing what interested them. The only disappointment was the lunch which we found bland. Lots of food available though if you wanted to purchase something else. Safe and comfortable bus ride home. Really good day out

Our Tina turn up on time she was very chatty and friendly. We had a slight problem at the butterfly park over tickets which she sorted quicker than the Viator did. And sorted the rest of the tickets for us. Viator sent one ticket for the butterfly park bird park and the aquarium. We should have individual tickets for each attraction. As I mentioned our driver was brilliant wel done Tina.

The app was amazing and the entire experience was seamless. Our assigned driver Reuben did a fantastic job in taking care of us. He was warm, friendly, and quite knowledgeable about the tourist spots.

Our guide Im Rin was great 😊. Really friendly, knowledgeable and gave us some great tips for getting the most out of our trip. He was on efficient and on time and exactly where he said he would be at each stop. The tour was great and a brilliant way of seeing the great sights of KL in one day. The only feedback from us personally is that the Batu Cave visit could have been a little longer and the stop at the mosque, perhaps we would have preferred something like the orchid garden instead. Definitely recommend this trip and a big thank you to Im Rin for bring a great host.

The tour included the Patrons Towers tickets.but this was canceled due to renovations supposedly.the organizer actually wanted to refund us the money.hedoch hia now nothing received and he also does not respond to messages.had turned to the headout team also promised to take care of it.Unfortunately nothing happened from their side either.in addition there was a 1:30 h delay on the tour day.the driver/guide himself was great.but I am disappointed that you don't even get any compensation although the tour price included the tickets for the petrona Towers.so we paid for something we didn't get. 😔 therefore I would not recommend it.

We really liked the fact that our guide Karlie gave us a brief and precise introduction before each stop, so that we were well prepared and could enjoy the sights at our leisure. Very good + professional guide. I have already recommended it to other KL visitors.

The service and communication provided

Just in 8h you get a glimpse of the most famous places of KL. Besides, the tour Guide was very nice and the car quite confortable.

Genting highlands was unexpected by way of the shopping experience. I didn't realise there was so much up on the mountain. The cable carts were great and well organised. Batu caves was good, the crowd was busy though, and people running late to get back onto the bus home was some what frustrating, however, a great day indeed!

The Guide was fabulous with his job.

We had a wonderful time. Prabaz was very pleasant and easy to chat with. He was very accommodating with our request to stay longer in Batu Caves. He also took us to the batik workshop which my wife truly appreciated. Prabaz also took us to an excellent lunch spot where the office workers ate.

Pilot Praha was very friendly wand knowledgeable. He was punctual (even arrived early). He prepared for us water and umbrella. He gave us great food recommendations as well!

I enjoyed the tour with Sathesh a lot, he knows a lot about his hometown and told me a lot of things. I loved the cage the most!

The driver(Steven) was friendly and knowledgable and talked with us about the culture and buildings as we were driving around. We were also lucky to be on our own in the van, so it was like a private tour for us. Driver was flexible with the amount of time we spent at each attraction. Overall very nice experience. Good value for money. I will highly recommend this tour.
