Designed by the Malaysian architect, Kumpulan Seni Reka Mekar Sdn Bhd, KL Tower construction began on 4 October 1991 and was completed in May 1996. Set atop Bukit Nanas, the KL Tower was opened to the public on 23 July 1996.
